With by-polls round the corner, several leaders from TDP and Congress parties are putting their parties in fix by joining YSR Congress party. Mainly, the people from kapu community are apparently showing interest to join YSR Congress as one of the top leaders from the same community, Vangaveeti Radhakrishna has joined YSR Congress party.

The former TDP MLA Gottipati Narasimha Rao has already spoken to YSR Congress party leaders and he is most likely to join the new party soon. In case he joins the party, all his followers will also join YSR Congress party, which will undoubtedly be a great loss to the party. Some of the women leaders from TDP too have reportedly came to a conclusion of joining YSR Congress party.

Sources indicate that leaders joining YSRCP would be from kapu community. It may be noted that most of the leaders from kapu community were with PRP and now those leaders are also in a confusion of PRP merger with the Congress. Therefore, those leaders from the same community are also most likely to join YSR Congress party.

All in all, Jagan has been apparently successful in attracting the leaders from kapu community. This would undoubtedly fetch him some extra votes in by-polls. (Phani)
