Vijay Sai bail plea posted to Apr 12

The `King Pin’ as labeled by critics in the Jagan’s disproportionate income case Vijay Sai Reddy has sought for bail and the Special CBI Court has adjourned hearing on the application to the twelfth of this month. Vijay Sai an auditor by profession is also a key figure in the Jagathi Publications. He had been the auditor for the firms owned by the YSR Congress Chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy. In his bail application, he sought bail on the ground that no evidence was found against him and that a charge-sheet was filed only to deny him the bail. The special court took this decision after completion of arguments and counter arguments on the bail petition of Vijay Sai, presently lodged in the Chanchalguda Jail. CBI opposed the bail stating that the investigations into the case were at a crucial phase.

Meanwhile the High Court had on Monday adjourned the hearing on the petition of EMAAR MGF finance head (south) G. Vijaya Raghava, challenging further investigations against him in EMAAR township case. His counsel raised objection to the CBI not serving advance copy of its counter, which would have helped him counter the points raised therein. He also contended that continuing investigation in the name of further investigation was illegal. The petitioner was arrested on Jan 28. The CBI charge-sheet filed in February did not list him.  (With inputs from internet: AarKay)
