The All India Congress Committee spokesperson, Manish Tiwari on Thursday has said that the Congress is not going to make any comment on former Congress MP, Y S Jaganmohan Reddy’s illegal assets case. Reacting over media’s question, Tiwari made it clear that the party would not comment on anything that is prejudicial. It may be noted that CBI filed charge sheet against Kadapa MP, Jaganmohan Reddy and 12 others in illegal assets case. In fact, CBI plunged into investigation action after it received orders from AP High Court in August, 2011. Over a period of six months, CBI was reportedly, focused more on this issue and filed a charge sheet stating Jagan as accused number one. He was charged under Section 120B r/w, Section 420, 409 and 477-A of Indian Penal Code and also under Section 13 (2) r/w of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.
While YS Jagan’s issue is taking a new turn every other day, a few political analysts are of the opinion that several political parties may try and spill more venom against the newly born party YSR Congress pin-pointing at CBI’s charge sheet. Nevertheless, YSR Congress Party members are exuding confidence that Jagan is just an accused and the he would prove his innocence soon.
