Amid speculation that he may be arrested, industrialist Nimmagadda Prasad was grilled for the third consecutive day today by the CBI sleuths.
The CBI officials questioned him in the last two days for several hours on his role in the illegal properties case of YSR Congress president YS Jaganmohan reddy. Prasad has been facing the allegations that he invested hundreds of crores of rupees in Jagan-owned companies after getting favours from the Government for his several projects during the YSR regime.
Mr Prasad was allotted 15,000 acres of land in the coastal areas of Guntur and Prakasam districts for his Vodarevu And Nizampatnam Port and Industrial Corridor (VANPIC) by the then chief minister YSR.
Recently, high court also found fault with allotment of land to the project during the hearing of a separate petition filed by a land owner in the Prakasam district, (JUBS)
