Senior TDP MLC and opposition leader in the Legislative Council Mr Dadi Veerabhadra Rao today threatened to undertake fast in the premises of the Council from the day one of its budget session after the security staff refused him permission to meet CM Kirankumar Reddy at the camp office.
Mr Dadi fixed an appointment with the CM to discuss the problems of the striking junior doctors and submit a memorandum on their behalf but the CM’s security staff didn’t allow him to go inside when he arrived at the CM’s camp office at Begumpet this morning.
However, he saw veteran Tollywood producer Dr D. Ramanaidu going inside easily at the main gate. Angered by this humiliation, he returned without meeting the CM and later addressed a media conference. He said the action of the security staff was an insult to the Legislative Council and had threatened to undertake a fast in the Council campus during its budget session
“I didn’t go for lobbying with the CM. Will the security staff allow people and cars carrying suitcases only?” he asked angrily.
Kiran telephones Dadi and apologizes
Learning that Dadi felt humiliated and was angered with the incident at the main gate of the camp office, Kirankumar reddy telephoned Dadi Veerabhadra Rao and apologized to the decision of the security staff. (JUBS)
