The CBI special court at Nampally in Hyderabad today reserved for Feb 2 its orders on a CBI petition seeking permission to conduct Narco-analysis test on the auditor Mr Vijayasai Reddy.
Mr Reddy has been arrested and jailed in the Chanchalguda prison in the illegal properties case involving the YSR Congress president Mr YS Jaganmohan reddy. Despite several grueling grilling sessions, he refused to come out with the details on his role in the case.
The CBI told the court that Vijayasai reddy must agree for the Narco-analysis test to prove his innocence in the case. “He is not divulging the names of top persons who were benefited by his indulgence in manipulating the huge bribes as investments,” argued the CBI counsel.
The CBI said it has been seeking permission of the court for Narco analysis test on him as a last resort as the details of the persons benefited by his manipulations were yet to be known. “The test will cause no personal harm to him as it is only a scientific way of getting the truth from him,” said the CBI lawyers.
