Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) president Mr Manda Krishna Madiga alleged that CM Kirankumar Reddy, PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana and Tirupati MLA Mr Chiranjeevi had conspired together and dropped textiles minister Sankara Rao from the cabinet.
Addressing a media conference in Hyderabad today, Manda Krishna Madiga said MRPS activists would resort to dharnas opposite MRO offices on Jan 22 and blockade of highways on Jan 23 opposing the CM’s decision. “We will also observe Jan 25 as black day throughout the state protesting against the dismissal of Sankara Rao from the Cabinet,” he said.
Meanwhile, several SC leaders of the congress party objected to the dismissal of Sankara rao from the cabinet and found fault with the CM for his dismissal. Leaders of various Dalit organizations also criticised the congress leadership over the dismissal.
Mr P. Varaprasada Rao, President of the Indian Dalit Christian Rights and V. Ramulu, General Secretary of the Dalith Bahujan Party said in separate statements that the congress party would have to pay a price in the next elections for the dismissal of Sankara rao. (JUBS)
