Effigy burning culture has cropped into the Indian system and becomes a vent to air a section’s ire towards a leader. In this incident that occurred today at Anathapur district, some YSR Congress activists burnt the effigy of the Telugu Desam Chief N Chandra Babu Naidu, at Hindupur town. The activists claimed that this was their retort to the statements made by the TDP chief regarding late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy’s statues.
They also emphasized that the TDP president was day dreaming about riding back to power. They sent sharp signals to the TDP Chief through the Media, that he would never get back to power in his life time. They also advised him to keep his tongue in check, or else warned him of more retort from them.
