Chief Minister Kirankumar reddy held a closed door meeting with Union Minister and in-charge of the congress affairs in AP Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad in Delhi this evening.
Kirankumar, who air dashed to Delhi along with Finance minister Anam Ramnarayana reddy, law minister Erasu Pratap Reddy and Government whip K. Murali, left straightaway from the airport to meet Azad.
Reports said Kirankumar sought permission from Azad to drop some ministers and induct new members into his cabinet along with two PRP members. It is however not known whether the party high command would permit the CM to have his way on the cabinet reshuffle and expansion.
It is learnt that the high command has asked the CM to induct two PRP members into the cabinet for the present while Kiran has been insisting on a major reshuffle on the pretext that the induction of the PRP members would lead to dissidence in the party.
The CM’s Delhi tour comes in the wake of reports that the proposed induction of the two PRP members Mr C. Ramachandraiah and Ganta Srinivasa Rao on Jan 19 is postponed. (JUBS)
