Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials today arrested Mr Buchhi Reddy, retired RDO and father of Mr Praveen Reddy, circle inspector of police at Chaitanyapuri in Hyderabad.

Reports said Praveen reddy has been absconding after the ACB officials conducted raids on his properties in the city and elsewhere in the last two days for accumulating illegal assets through corruption.

Meanwhile, Cyberabad Police Commissioner Mr Tirumala Rao has suspended Praveen reddy form his job following his absconding. Senior police officials found Praveen reddy has not been reporting for duty since Friday morning. “There is no information from him. He seems to be absconding after the raids,” said an official earlier.

ACB officials said they have found properties to the tune of Rs.2.25 Cr in the possession of Buchhi reddy and Praveen reddy. “These properties are disproportionate to their income,” said ACB in a statement.  (JUBS)
