Minister Sankara rao alleged there was a chance that YSR congress party president YS Jaganmohan reddy could influence witnesses and destroy evidences in the illegal properties case involving him.

Addressing reporters in his chambers at the secretariat today, Sankara rao said CBI has sent suspended IAS officer Srilakshmi to jail in the illegal mining case contending that she might tamper with evidences and influence witnesses.

“The same rule applies to Jagan also in the illegal properties case. Why has the CBI not arrested him till now in the case?” asked Sankara rao.

“There is every possibility that Jagan could destroy evidences and influence witnesses as long as he is out and he must be arrested immediately,” demanded the minister.

Sankara rao has also alleged that chief minister Kirankumar reddy has been maintaining silence while Jagan has been openly criticizing the party president Sonia Gandhi and other central leaders.

Alleging that home minister Sabitha Indra Reddy had collected huge amounts in postings of police officers, Sankara rao has charged that police have so far not arrested Bhanu Kiran, the alleged killer of faction leader Maddelacheruvu Suri for the fear that the role of the Home Minister’s son may be exposed in the murder.(JUBS)
