The doctors at the Central Excise hospital at Basheerbagh in Hyderabad today conducted various medical tests on Mr Vijay Sai reddy who was arrested last night in the illegal properties case of YSR Congress president Mr YS Jaganmohan reddy.

The medical tests were conducted in the presence of the CBI officials and the doctors later handed over the results of the various medical tests to them.

After the arrest last night, the CBI team took Mr Reddy to his house and the Sakshi daily office and conducted searches in his presence. Later, he was taken to the Dilkusha guest house where he was asked to rest till morning.

Early in the morning, the CBI team took him to its office at Koti but the doctors were not available at the Koti hospital. Then, they took him to the Central Excise hospital where doctors conducted tests on him.

The investigating officials got him medically examined to confirm his fitness for producing him in the court so that the accused would not be able to pose as if he is suffering from sort of diseases or sickness with a view to misleading the court. (JUBS)
