In support of the arguments of TDP Telangana Forum leaders that TRS president K. Chandrasekhar rao’s ancestors originally hailed from the Vijayanagaram district, Seema Andhra TDP leaders on Friday took journalists to the Buddipet village in the district and showed the remnants of the house where KCR’s ancestors lived.
The residents of the village Buddipet, which falls in the Pedabogili Panchayat jurisdiction of Sitanagaram Mandalam, took the journalists to the remnants of the house where KCR’s grandfather Venkatrao and his great grand father Rama Rao lived.
“We bought the house 30 years ago and during those days, only one Kalwakuntla family was there but they also migrated to Telangana region due to frequent drought conditions here,” said 70-year old Mr Mulagasarla Satyanarayana of Velama community to which KCR also belonged.
He told journalists that one Mr Pottapali Subba Rao, who was very close to the grandfather of KCR, migrated to the Kadagatla village near Tadepalligudem and could give more information of the ancestors of KCR.
Several people from the village gathered in front of journalists and said KCR, whose origins lied in the North coastal Andhra, has turned into a betrayer of his mother land by raking the separate Telangana agitation. (JUBS)
