The special CBI court of Nampally in Hyderabad today extended till January 12 the judicial remand of Gali Janardhan reddy and his brother in law Mr BV Srinivasa reddy, accused in the illegal mining case.
The special judge heard the case through video conferencing and passed orders extending their remand. Both the accused have been lodged in the Chanchalguda jail as class A prisoners.
Gali filed another petition in the special court today seeking parole for two days to visit his house in Bellary in Karnataka to attend the annual ceremony of his mother on Dec 31 and Jan 1. The court will hear the petition on Friday.
Koneru remand too extended
The special court has also extended till January 12 the judicial remand of Koneru Prasad, also known as Dubai Prasad, the main accused in the APIIC-Emaar Properties scam.
The special judge also heard him through video conferencing and extended his remand. During the hearing, Mr Prasad complained to the judge that CBI has been harassing him. (JUBS)
