Speculation is rife that CM Kirankumar reddy will expand his ministry on Friday by inducting two PRP men into his cabinet.
Kiran, who air dashed to Delhi last night, met Union Minister and in charge of AP congress affairs Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad and discussed the issue for more than one hour. After discussing the issue with Azad, he also met Ahmad Patel, political secretary to the congress president Sonia Gandhi late in the night.
Reports said that Kiran is likely to induct MLC Mr C. Ramachandraiah and MLA Mr. Ganta Srinivasa rao of PRP into the cabinet as per the wishes of the PRP founder Mr Chiranjeevi. However, the CM is insisting on a full fledged expansion of his ministry by inducting at least another five to six of his loyalists into the cabinet along with the two PRP members.
The CM has been trying hard to seek approval from the party high command for a full fledged expansion in the wake of reports that PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana has advised the high command to allow a full fledged cabinet expansion only after the completion of the by elections.
“For the present, the induction of PRP men will suffice,” Botsa had reportedly advised the high command.
Meanwhile, several Telangana congress MPs today met Kirankumar reddy in Delhi and discussed the state affairs. (JUBS)
