Even as clear battle lines are drawn between the Centre and the Anna Team representing the civil society fighting for a stronger Lok Pal bill, Anna Team’s India Against Corruption (IAC) launched its website www.jailchalo.com on Thursday.

More than 50,000 persons have already registered with the website in just two days showing their solidarity with the Anna Team and readying themselves to participate in the jail bharo campaign beginning Dec 30.

Anyone can register on the website for the Jail Bharo campaign aimed at demanding the government to ensure the passage of a stronger Lok Pal bill.

Kiran Bedi, a key member of the Anna Team, tweeted saying, “Anna wants to know if you're willing to go to jail. The 74-year-old activist is unleashing a civil disobedience movement and wants people to court arrest to protest against the government for introducing a Lokpal Bill that he finds weak.”

Anna Hazare will resort to a three-day fast from Dec 27 at MMRDA ground in Mumbai and later launch his ‘Jail Bharo Andolan’ from Dec 30 and continue it till January 1. (JUBS)
