CID police have now begun examining the role of Mr Madhu Mohan reddy in the murder of faction leader Maddelacheruvu Suri. Till now they have only looked at him as a witness to the murder of Suri purportedly committed by his lieutenant Bhanu Kiran.

The murder took place nearly one year ago and the killer Bhanu Kiran is still at large. When Suri was murdered in his car at Jubilee Hills in Hyderabad, only Bhanu and driver Madhu Mohan Reddy were present.

Since Bhanu escaped after the incident, Madhu Mohan Reddy’s statement has been mentioned as evidence so far. However, police have now decided to explore the role of Madhu Mohan reddy also in the murder going by his criminal history.

The settlement of dispute in the family owning the Annapurna Packaging Ltd by Bhanu Kiran was suspected to be the main motive behind the murder of Suri. Since the police only looked at Madhu Mohan reddy as a witness, the real culprits responsible for the murder have escaped the police eye.

However, with the arrest of Madhu Mohan five years after his involvement in a case in 2006, the police have now decided to probe all other angles too.

Police said that Madhu Mohan Reddy, Mangali Krishna, Bhanu and one Mr Pradeep Reddy, who was very close to the son of a minister, have been involved in settlements since 2006.

Police recently arrested Madhu Mohan reddy for threatening the realtor Mr Sudheer Reddy five years ago. But he was released on bail by the 17th additional Metropolitan session’s court. He is involved in another threatening case for which he is yet to get bail.  (JUBS)
