A Nampally court today issued summons to actor-couple Dr Rajasekhar and Jeevitha in a damages suit filed by the leading Tollywood producer Allu Aravind.

The court asked them to appear before it on or before Feb 9 in the case and offer their explanation for making allegations against the Chiranjeevi blood bank and Allu Aravind.

Aravind filed a suit on March 3 against the couple claiming damages for Rs.10 Cr for making baseless allegations against the blood bank for which he was the managing trustee. The court recorded the statement of Aravind in this connection several times and three days ago he made his final statement and submitted an affidavit.

It might be recalled that Rajasekhar and Jeevitha had made allegations in media conferences and through TV channel interviews many a time since 2009 that the mega star has been doing business with blood. (JUBS)
