Sankar rao’s letter to Sonia seeks sacking of Kiran, minister denies writing letter

Minister Sankara Rao, whose behaviour has been on par with that of a joker in recent times for his incoherent statements, is involved in yet another controversy.
It came to light that the minister wrote a letter to party president Sonia Gandhi requesting her to remove CM Kirankumar Reddy from his post as he failed on all fronts in the administration of the state.
After the contents of the letter have been leaked to the media, the minister addressed a hurriedly called media conference in Hyderabad saying he has not written any letter to Sonia Gandhi asking to remove Kiran from his post and said the letter could have been a forgery.
“I have not signed any such letter to the party president and the letter must be a forged one. My PA could have done that after stealing my letter heads,” he said.
Political circles feel that the congress high command must have leaked the letter to the press prior to his possible axing from the cabinet in the next cabinet reshuffle. “Sankara rao has become a source of embarrassment to the government in the recent days and this could pave the way for his exit from the cabinet,” said a source close a senior minister.
