Congress party whip Mr Kondru Murali today met the Speaker Mr Nadendal Manohar and discussed the issue of disqualification of 16 congress MLAs who defied the party whip during the division on the TDP’s no-confidence motion in the assembly last week.
Before meeting the Speaker, Murali held discussions with the Chief Minister Mr Kirankumar reddy for more than half an hour on the issue.
Murali will have another meeting with Kirankumar before officially handing over a complaint to Nadendla Manohar seeking disqualification of all the MLAs who defied the whip in the assembly.
The congress leadership has authorized the AP legislature party to seek their disqualification when the chief minister went to Delhi last week. The rebel MLAs, who voted in favour of the no-confidence motion, had challenged the congress leadership to disqualify them and face by elections if it had any guts and wits. (JUBS)
