Denying reports that the congress high command held consultations with TRS president KCR over phone on the Telangana issue in the last few days, party leader Harish Rao said there is no question of accepting any developmental or economic package as a solution to the Telangana issue.
Addressing a media conference in Hyderabad, Harish Rao said that Telangana people are only looking for a separate state with Hyderabad as its capital and any thing less than that is not acceptable for them.
“The only package we are looking for is Telangana state with Hyderabad as its capital,” he said and asked the T congress leaders not to accept any other package. “We will not leave them free if they accept any other packages including the constitution of a Telangana Development board or council,” he said.
Harish Rao said that chief minister Kirankumar sent proposals for construction and development of national highways for a distance of 2000 km in the state and the Telangana part is only for 380 Km. (JUBS)
