Rachabanda turns into `racha racha banda’ (a messy place) with the Minister and the local Telugu Desam MLA clashing at the dais leading to unrest across the place. Police took control and dispersed the crowd.
TDP MP from Narasaraopet Modugula Venugopal Reddy on Monday came down heavily on the State Ministers, saying they were behaving worse than the Taliban of Afghanistan. He slammed the ruling party over the Rachabanda duel between the Minister Vatti Vasant Kumar and the local TDP MLA Chintamaneni Prabhakar at Denduluru in West Godavari district. He further went on to say that had such an incident occurred in his constituency, he would not have hesitated to `slap the Minister with his chappal’ while talking to Media at Guntur.
Participating in the ‘Vanta Vaarpu’ (cooking on the road) programme of TDP Mahila Wing in front of the Guntur District Collectorate, he warned that the TDP would be forced to adopt the policy of ‘eye for an eye’ should the Government continue its oppression on the opposition. The Mahila Wing organised the programme in protest against the rising prices of essential commodities.
It is a sad scene in the state where such incidents set a bad example among the public, which might rise to further party clashes or community clashes. The rulers must realize that such un-parliament language and deeds have a worst impact on the youth of the respective parties and could lead to untoward incidents.
