Union Finance Minister Mr Pranab Mukherjee today warned the congress MPs of the Telangana region that they would face suspension if they continued to disrupt the proceedings in the Lok Sabha on the Telangana issue.
T region congress MPs have been creating pandemonium in the Lok Sabha for the last three days by joining hands with the TRS MPs and raising slogans in favour of Telangana and holding placards.
Reports said Pranab called them to his chamber today after the Lok Sabha was adjourned and told them to stop their protests in the house.
“Enough is enough. If you continue to disrupt the proceedings in the house, you will attract suspension,” he warned them.
They reportedly told him they would continue to protest until a decision is taken or a roadmap is announced on the Telangana formation. Pranab was angered at this, said sources.
Later, the T congress MPs told media persons that they would not listen to the words of Pranab Mukherjee and would continue to protest in Lok Sabha till T formation is announced by the Centre.
T congress MPs, who raised the T issue and demanded the introduction of the T bill in the present session of Parliament on Tuesday and Wednesday, went a step ahead today barging into the well of the house and holding placards.
The obstruction by the T congress members along with those of the TRS members was also one of the reasons that resulted in the adjournment of the Lok Sabha in the last three days. (JUBS)
