Naidu: We can present our views in HC

Reacting to the Supreme Court’s dismissal of petitions filed by his party leaders Nama Nageswara rao, CM Ramesh and the Eenadu group chairman Mr Ramoji Rao challenging the HC orders for a preliminary investigation by the CBI and ED, former Chief Minister Mr Chandrababu Naidu said they were given an opportunity to approach the High Court and present their arguments.

Participating in a Rythu Poru Yatra at Irripaka of Jaggampeta Mandalam in West Godavari district today, Naidu said that Ramoji Rao and others were asked to approach the High Court and present their arguments.

Naidu said the Supreme Court has also directed the High Court to hear them and take a final decision on the issue within 15 days. “The SC said they can again approach the apex court if they feel justice has not been done to them in the high court,” said Naidu speaking to newspersons.

It might be mentioned that the AP High Court had directed the CBI, ED and the state police to conduct independent preliminary investigation into the alleged illegal properties of Chandrababu Naidu and his business relations with Ramoji and others.

Meanwhile, party MP Mr Nama Nageswara Rao also echoed similar sentiments and said they are hopeful of justice being done to them in the High Court. “As per the Supreme Court orders, we will approach the High Court very soon,” he told media persons in Delhi. (JUBS)
