All the transport offices in the Telangana region shall work on a war footing to clear the pending applications for registrations of vehicles and driving licenses. The offices which were closed on account of Sakala Janula Samme, in view of the separate Telangana state hood, since September 13, will now work full-fledged from today and shall clear all the pending cases at the earliest, as per the transport communiqué.

The online slots booked from September 13 for driving tests would begin conducting from today and the back log is supposed to be cleared by December 07. The department has organized special arrangements to clear the backlog. In view of the pending number all RTO office counters in Telangana region shall work from 10.30 am – 5 pm, said the Transport Commissioner Venkateswarulu. The slot allotment for these tests could be known on their official website www.aptransport.org.

New vehicle owners, who have applied for fancy numbers and have not received them due to the protests, are now allowed to register their vehicles on the decided fancy number within fifteen days. Renewals of driving licenses which were due, in the protest sessions could not be processed, but the action plan shall be announced in a couple of days says the officials.
