Krishna district TDP unit president Mr Devineni Uma today warned the Centre against taking any hasty decision on dividing the state.
Speaking at a press conference in Vijayawada, Mr Uma said the Centre must abide by the Dec 23, 2009 statement made by Union Minister Chidambaram on Telangana and should take a decision in tune with it.
“Any decision to the contrary, any decision that favours Telangana state will have its repercussions in Seema Andhra area,” he warned the Union Government. “We will not allow any train to reach the South from the North.”
If the Centre wants to create the Telangana state, the Seema Andhra region will turn into a fire ball, Mr Uma warned, indicating the decision will be opposed by the people tooth and nail.
Demanding the government to register criminal cases against TRS president KCR and Telangana political JAC convener Mr Kodanda Ram for provoking the agitators into stoning the Andhra buses, Mr Uma said that any favourable decision by the Centre for Telangana state would result in a fierce pro-united AP agitation in the Seema Andhra area.
