Dismissing media reports that the Centre has been considering imposition of president’s rule in the state, Union Minister and in charge of congress affairs in AP Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad said today that the Central Government has been holding discussions with the AP leaders as part of the wider consultations on Telangana.
“I have already announced that we will take a decision on Telangana after completing talks with AP leaders and the national leaders of other parties,” he told journalists when asked about the proposal of imposing president rule in the state.
“We are holding talks with the state CM, deputy CM and the PCC chief. The talks are part of wider consultations we have proposed. But where is the necessity of imposing president rule in AP?” Azad asked calmly.
