The Teppotsavam (Boat ride festival) of the Lord Durgamalleswara Swamy of Indrakeeladri of Vijayawada was celebrated with gusto and traditional rituals last night in the River Krishna.

The event, solemnized at the end of the 9-day Sarannavarathi festival of the Goddes Kanaka Durga, the presiding deity of the town, was witnessed by thousands of devotees who lined up on the Prakasam Barrage.

The Lord took the ride on the Hamsavahanam which was decorated and illuminated with electric lights. Police made heavy security arrangements for the most delightful festival.
