TRS leader Mr Harish Rao said they would put more focus on Hyderabad henceforth in the Telangana agitation to give a new dimension to the stir.

Speaking to media persons at the Hi-tech city in Hyderabad today where he participated in a road blockade programme as part of the on going mass general strike for attaining statehood for Telangana region, the TRS MLA said they have decided to lay a siege to the capital city in the second week of October with the participation of lakhs of people.

Police later arrested Harish rao and his supporters for disrupting traffic at the hi-tech city and creating unprecedented traffic jam through the road blockade.

It might be mentioned that the Telangana political JAC had organized a Million March on March 10 in Hyderabad where the protestors had vandalized and damaged several statues on the Tank Bund.

The ‘lay siege to Hyderabad’ programme would be similar to the protests organized in Egypt and Libya some months ago, said Harish rao. The JAC is now concentrating on steps to make the proposed Hyderabad bandh on Sept 30 a successful one. Again, a rail blockade will be organized for three days across Telangana from Oct 9.
