As a final resort to seek solution to the Telangana imbroglio and demand formation of separate state, the congress leaders of the Telangana region today left for Delhi to take up the issue with the party high command.
Most of the MPs have already left for Delhi while the remaining MPs are on their way to Delhi. Along with the MPs, most of the ministers and MLAs are also leaving for Delhi to have show-down with the party leadership on the T issue.
They will meet the Union Minister and in-charge of the congress affairs, Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad and seek an immediate decision from him on the formation of Telangana state.
Meanwhile, congress leader Chiranjeevi has also left for Delhi direct from Visakhapatnam where he attended a congress public meeting last evening. “Chiranjeevi has got a call from the party high command in Delhi,” said PCC sources.
Chiranjeevi will meet Azad and Mr Ahmad Patel, political Secretary to the congress president Sonia Gandhi and discuss the issues of cabinet expansion and Telangana.
