PCC chief Mr Botsa Satyanarayana said today that Mr Srinivasa Goud will contest the Banswada by election as congress candidate.
The by election will take place on October 13 and Mr Pocharam Srinivas Reddy will contest as the TRS candidate. Pocharam is a former TDP leader who resigned from the party and the assembly. He joined the TRS party which has been spearheading the T agitation.
Announcing the candidature of Srinivas Goud, Botsa said that the congress is not against Telangana formation. “We are not against Telangana,” he said.
Srinivasa Goud said that he is confident of victory in the by election as the people of the constituency have some sort of dissatisfaction over Srinivasa reddy.
