Rs.1 rice scheme to be implemented from Nov 1

kiranAhead of the Dussehra festival, Chief Minister Kirankumar reddy today announced that the much awaited Rs.1 per kg of rice scheme would be launched in the state from November 1. All white ration card holders will be eligible for this scheme.

Speaking in the women farmers’ meeting (Raitu Mahila Sadassu) at Tirupati, Kirankumar said the scheme would be applicable to 2.24 Cr ration card holders across the state. He said that the government has also decided to sanction 24 lakh new ration cards before the launching of the scheme.

Claiming that the government will provide 1 lakh new jobs to the youth, the chief minister said that a new milking machine scheme would be launched with a contingency fund of Rs 6000 Cr.

“In each district, 6000 cows will be distributed to the eligible farmers under the Kamadhenu programme,” the CM announced.

Kirankumar reddy said that a new safe drinking water scheme would be implemented in the district from the Kandaleru reservoir with a proposed budget of Rs.4000 Cr.
