On the fourth day of the mass general strike launched by the employees of all departments in Telangana demanding the formation of separate state, TDP leaders had a biter experience when the agitators asked them to go back and raised slogans against them.
At Tandur and Vikarabad in Ranga Reddy district, T agitators resisted the moves of the TDP leaders to mix with them and participate in the agitation. “First declare your party’s stand on the demand for separate Telangana and then participate in the agitation along with us,” they told the Telangana Forum leaders of the TDP.
The agitators tore away the flexi boards and posters of the TDP MP Mr Ramesh Rathod and raised slogans against him in Nizamabad. In Warangal town, T lawyers laid a siege to the house of the TDP Telangana Forum convener Mr Errabilli Dayakara rao and demanded his resignation.
Pro-Telangana elements questioned the moves of MLA Mr Revanth Reddy in his own Kodangal constituency of Mahaboobnagar district when he came out and announced support to the mass general strike. They asked him to resign from the assembly to prove his commitment to Telangana.
He retaliated by saying that he had already resigned from the assembly but the Speaker had not accepted it and he was helpless in this regard. “I request you to ensure that the Speaker will accept my resignation,” he asked them giving his resignation letter to them.
