Telangana Political JAC convener Prof Kodanda Ram Reddy today charged the Union Home Minister Mr. P. Chidambaram of trying to create a divide and rift among the Telugu people.
Speaking to media persons at a guest house in Srirampur in the Adilabad district this evening, he said Chidambaram’s asking the Telugu people to solve the Telangana problem themselves has amounted to creating a rift among the people of the state.
“The Centre has delayed finding a solution to the Telangana issue on the pretext of elections in five states and after elections are over, Chidambaram has succumbed to the pressures of the Seema Andhra leaders,” he said.
Prof. Kodanda Ram said that the Union Government has come down for talks on Telangana after all the people’s representatives of the Telangana region have submitted their resignation letters. “It is clear that the central government will not take decisions unless there is some pressure,” he observed.
Kodanda ram said that all students, youth, workers, employees of RTC and all government departments and organizations have come forward to participate in the mass general strike. “This is our last battle for getting Telangana and all Telangana people, irrespective of their political affiliations must take part in the mass general strike,” he appealed.
