Chief Minister Kirankumar reddy said today that the Centre would make an announcement on the issue of Telangana in two or three months and take the right decision at the most appropriate time.
Launching the Rajiv Yuva Kiranalu programme in Gadwal of Mahabubnagar district, the chief minister said that the government has decided to concentrate on developmental programmes before the Government takes a decision on Telangana.
“Telangana problem is a 50-year old one but before the government takes a decision on the issue in the next two or three months, we should not lose development,” he said.
Kiran said that the government has decided to provide 15 lakh jobs to the youth of the state in phases and one lakh jobs would be provided during the present year. “We have given scholarships to 27 lakh students this year and AP has become the first state in the entire country to allot the highest budget to the students,” he said.

Police arrested several students and pro-Telangana activists for trying to obstruct the programme of CM in Gadwal. Students took out a rally rising ‘CM go back’ and ‘Jai Telangana’ slogans.
