Ending the controversy on the ownership of the Tirupati forest lands abutting the Balaji temple on the seven hills of Tirumala, Minister for Forests Mr Satrucharla Vijayarama Raju said today all the seven hills of the Tirumala temple belonged to Lord Venkateswara.

Speaking to media in Hyderabad, the minister said all the seven hills and the forests situated therein are owned by the TTD and no one should entertain any doubts about it. “The surveys being conducted by the Forests, Revenue and Endowments departments are just for demarcation of boundaries and nothing extra should be read into it,” he said.

Reacting to reports that most of the ministers had not disclosed their property details, the Minister said that he would announce his properties on or before August 31, the deadline for disclosing the properties of Ministers and MLAs.
