Even as the congress high command remained busy on Tuesday in convincing the T congress MPs into attending the monsoon session of the parliament to over come the impending debate and voting on the issue of price rise on Thursday, T congress senior leader K. Keshava rao has described the talks on Telangana as a drama and a time killing exercise.
Union Minister and in-charge of the congress affairs in AP Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad requested the T congress MPs to attend the parliament since he has already initiated the discussions on Telangana. The MPs are likely to attend the parliament session from Thursday or Friday.
While PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana met Azad and discussed the T issue, T congress MP Mr Madhu Yashki Gowd met the Home Minister P. Chidambaram and requested him to take steps to ensure the removal of 14 F from the zonal guidelines. The Telangana congress MPs, who have quit their posts demanding an immediate decision on Telangana, also met the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh.
Chidambaram and Manmohan Singh also requested them to attend the session as Azad had initiated talks on the issue of discussions on Telangana.
When the MPs requested the Home Minister and the PM to initiate steps for the removal of 14 F as the Chief Minister Kirankumar reddy had clearly said there was no need for a second assembly resolution on the issue, they told the MPs they would examine the letter and take suitable action.
“If we take steps for the removal of 14 F based on the assembly resolution adopted in 2010, there could be a fresh trouble in the Seema Andhra area according to Vijayawada MP Mr Lagadapati Rajagopal,” Chidambaram was said to have told them.
Talks are part of drama: KK
Senior Telangana congress MP Mr K. Keshava Rao said the talks initiated by the Union Minister and in-charge of the congress affairs in AP Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad on the issue of Telangana are only part of another drama. “It is a drama and only a time killing exercise and people will soon realize this,” said KK.
