YSR Congress party president Mr YS Jaganmohan Reddy, who has been facing a preliminary CBI investigation into the allegations of illegal accumulation of wealth, today submitted to the high court that all ministers were also equally responsible along with his father late YSR for the then government’s decisions.
“All major decisions were taken by the state cabinet together so my father can’t be singled out for any omissions and commissions vis-à-vis those decisions,” Jagan submitted through his counsels.
Jagan said that all the investments made into his companies by various groups were also genuine and there were no irregularities. “The investors have had long experience and they have made the investments after studying the pros and cons in all angles,” he said.
Jagan further alleged that his political enemies have demanded CBI inquiry into his properties as they are unable to deal with him politically. “My enemies have ganged up against me,” he said and argued that properties were not new to him. “They were there for a long time and now their values have gone up abnormally.”
