Hyderabad central crime station officials have received as yet another complaint against the fraudster -Tollywood producer Mr Singanamala Ramesh who has been cooling his heels in the Cherlapalli central prison for the last one month after his arrest in several cases of fraud, cheating and extortion.
Mr Shankar, a film financier from Prodduturu in Kadapa district, lodged a complaint to the CCS police today that he had given Rs.74 lakh to Ramesh on the promise of getting distribution rights of a Telugu movie.” But Singanamala failed to get me the rights and also refused to pay back the amount to me,” he said in his complaint.
When Shankar requested his money back from Singanamala, the latter reportedly threatened to get him killed by the notorious Bhanu Kiran, the alleged killer of factionist Maddelacheruvu Suri, according to the complaint. Bhanu Kiran is on the run now and escaping the CCS police who are looking for him in the Suri murder case.
The film financier told the CCS police that he had lodged a complaint against Singanamala Ramesh in the Prodduturu police station but the local police did not act on his complaint. “I came to you expecting justice from you,” he told the CCS in his complaint.
