NRI alleges wife complicity in daughter s missing Alleging that his 16-year old daughter went missing from her house in Palakollu of West Godavari district since May 1, an NRI living in the USA for the last nine years lodged a complaint to the state human rights commission in Hyderabad that his wife was responsible for the missing of the girl.

In a complaint sent through fax to the state human rights commission, NRI Mr B. Venkataramana said that his wife has illegal contacts with several people and presently staying with a rowdy called Kumar. He said his daughter Sahiti Ramana and 11-year old son Bhuvana Chandra are staying with his wife at Palakollu.

“My wife Nagamadhuri said she had requested my daughter to accompany her to a church on May 1. She said she went alone to the church since Sahiti didn’t accompany her and told me she was surprised to find the house locked when she came home in the after noon. Since then there is no trace of my daughter Sathiti,” he told the human rights commission in his fax complaint.

Alleging that Nagamadhuri and her present paramour Mr Kumar were responsible for the disappearance of his daughter, Venkataramana said that his wife had not lodged a complaint with the police despite his request. “As she didn’t heed my request, my mother lodged a complaint in the Palakollu police station on May 4 on my request,” the NRI told the human rights commission.

Alleging that his wife and her paramour have been managing the local police, the NRI asked the human rights commission to direct the officials to trace his daughter. Based on the complaint, the human rights commission has directed the West Godavari district SP to investigate and submit a report on the issue.
