Congress MP Mr Rajaiah was attacked with stones and chappals by the students of the Kakathiya University at Warangal today when he visited the Ekasila Park to pay his last respects to Telangana ideologue Prof. Jayashankar who passed away this morning.

 

As soon as Rajaiah came to the Park, students who gathered in good number there raised slogans against him and congress leaders and hurled stones and chappals. When the police interfered and tried to prevent the students from attacking the congress leader, they gate-crashed into the park to continue with their action.

 

Finally, police used force to allow the congress leader to pay his tributes to Jayashankar and leave the place safely.
