Yajurmandiram riches being counted: Sai Trust

Yajurmandiram riches being counted: Sai Trust The Satya Sai Central Trust, Puttaparthy, which has opened the Yajurmandiram in the Prashanthy Nilayam Thursday morning, announced in the evening that it would disclose the details of the cash and gold found there tomorrow.

Mr Ratnakar, trust member and nephew of the late spiritual master Sri Satya Sai Baba, told media persons in Puttaparthy that counting of the gold and cash kept in the Yajurmandiram by the Baba was going on and the details would be made known to the media on Friday.

The trust members opened the doors of the Yajurmandiram in the Prashanthy Nilayam where Sri Satya Sai Baba lived his life till the date of his hospitalization. Neither the media nor the revenue or police officials were allowed to witness its unlocking which reportedly contained gold and silver reserves safely kept by the Baba.

Trust members SV Giri, Ratnakar, Srinivasan and Chakravarthy opened the doors along with Satyajit who served the Baba as a personal attendant. There are allegations that some of the Trust members had diverted a considerable portion of the gold and silver reserves to their destinations when the Baba was in hospital.

The unlocking of the doors of the Yajurmandiram without any proper witnesses and without the authorization of the government representatives has raised eyebrows.
