Bhagawati made to quit Sai Trust

Bhagawati made to quit Sai TrustFormer CJI justice P N Bhagawati has quit the Satya Sai Central Trust. Bhagawati personally made this shocking disclosure to media persons Wednesday evening at Puttaparthy after a meeting of the Trust.

“I made an exit from the Trust after I was made the vice-chancellor of the Sri Sathya Sai University,” said Bhagawati curtly without going into the details. But he added to say he would continue to serve the Baba in whatever capacity he was in.

Rumors are also agog that secretary of the Trust Mr K Chakravathi, a former IAS officer, will also quit his post soon.

Reports said that the members exchanged heated arguments in the Wednesday’s meeting over the induction of Satayjit into the Trust. While majority members favoured his entry into the Trust, Baba’s nephew and Trust member R J Ratnakar opposed the proposal arguing that outsiders should not be allowed to become a member and handle financial matters.

The Trust had also discussed the other administrative matters regarding the super specialty hospitals at Puttaparthy and Bangalore and the educational institutions run by it.
