T cong team leaves for DelhiAs part of their final attempts to convince the congress core committee members to agree to the formation of the Telangana state, Telangana congress leaders including MPs, some ministers, MLAs and MLCs today left for Delhi from Hyderabad.
 
They are scheduled to meet Home Minister P. Chidambaram and Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee today separately to discuss the issue.
The congress leaders, who have given a deadline of June 30 to the leadership to announce Telangana state, will ask the core committee members to adhere to the December 9, 2009 statement of Chidambaram on Telangana formation and introduce the Telangana Bill in the ensuing session of Parliament.
 
The Telangana congress leaders said they will not accept any thing less than the separate state from the government. “Gorkhaland-like packages will not work here and we will not accept any thing less than the separate state,” said senior T congress MP Mr Gutta Sukhendar reddy.
