Hyderabad CID police, who had arrested the fraudster-Tollywood producer Singanamala Ramesh in Chennai three days ago on a complaint of cheating by film financier Vyjayanthi reddy , today produced him before the criminal court at Nampally in the city.
The court sent him to judicial remand till July 11 but police are reportedly seeking police custody for interrogating him in connection with factional leader Maddelacheruvu Suri’s murder case as he is a lieutenant of Bhanu Kiran, the prime accused in the Suri murder case.
Vyjayanthi reddy lodged a complaint against Ramesh saying that he and Bhanu Kiran had threatened her with dire consequences when she had a demanded her loan amount of Rs.7.5 Cr back.
Police are suspecting that Ramesh could be aware of the movements of the Bhanu Kiran who is at large since the murder of Suri.
