Mr Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka of the congress party was today elected as the Deputy Speaker of the assembly. Earlier, the assembly elected Nadendla Manohar as its Speaker.
Immediately after being elected as the new Speaker of the assembly, Nadendla Manohar conducted the election to the post of the Deputy Speaker. When the Speaker ordered a division on the election, Vikramarka got 164 votes while the TDP candidate Suddala Devaiah got 88 votes.
Later, the Speaker conducted the Deputy Speaker to his chair and congratulated him. Chief Minister Kirankumar Reddy, opposition leader and TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, PRP leader Chiranjeevi and several floor leaders congratulated Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and wished him success in his new responsibility.
