Aggrieved at the Centre not taking any action for the formation of the Telangana state, the Telangana political joint action committee consisting of the representatives of the TRS, students, employees, lawyers, engineers and doctors is meeting on June 1 to decide its future course of agitation for achieving Telangana.

 

The BJP, along with TRS and others, will also participate in the meeting which will be presided over by the JAC chairman Prof. Kodanda ram.

 

Sources said that the meeting may decide in favour of a month long agitation across Telangana by all sections of the region. The JAC is also planning to give a call for an academic year bandh to students while the T employees will be asked to launch the second phase of their non-cooperation movement to bring pressure on the Centre to declare T state.

 

A section of the JAC may also seek postponement of the agitation till July in view of the pre-sowing operations for the monsoon.
