In what is seen as a final show-down with leadership, the TDP rebel leader and Telangana protagonist Mr Nagam Janardhan reddy on Sunday asked the party president Chandrababu Naidu to write to the Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram assuring the party’s commitment for the formation of Telangana state and pass a resolution in favour a Telangana state in the ensuing TDP Mahanadu.
Nagam faxed a letter to Chandrababu Sunday morning with these two requests telling him that it was the only way to prove party’s commitment towards Telangana state. According to sources, Nagam’s letter has come as an embarrassment to Naidu ahead of the Party’s Mahanadu taking place in the last week of May.
“A letter to Chidambaram assuring commitment to the formation of Telangana is necessary to remove the doubts of Telangana people towards the TDP and a resolution in the TDP Mahanadu will make things very clear for the people of Telangana,” Nagam said in his letter to Babu.
Meanwhile, Kodangal TDP MLA, Mr A. Revanth Reddy and some other leaders of the Telangana region have decided to seek disciplinary action against Nagam for defying the party diktats.
