Jupally, Aruna on warpath, arrested

jupally-aruna-on-warpath-arrestedMahaboobnagar police have this morning arrested ministers Jupally Krishna Rao and DK Aruna in two different places in the district as a precautionary measure to prevent a possible clash between their supporters.

While the Endowments Minister Jupally Krishna Rao has been conducting a Padayatra for the last three weeks in Mahaboobnagar district demanding separate state of Telangana, Public Relations Minister DK Aruna threatened not to allow him to undertake the Padayatra in her Gadwal constituency in the district.

Jupally was to begin his Padayatra in Gadwal constituency this morning but Aruna said the Jupally Yatra was meant for his personal gains and vowed to prevent it under any circumstances. She also complained to the chief minister about the Yatra and asked him to ensure that Jupally will not enter Gadwal constituency represented by her in the assembly.

In the last two days, Aruna repeatedly warned her cabinet colleague Jupally not to enter her constituency. With this, Jupally sought police protection.

SP G Sudheer Babu said Jupally was arrested when he was about to enter into her constituency and sent to Pebberu police station. Aruna was arrested in Tummalapalli village and sent to Dharur police station.

Aruna was later released on personal security as she was supposed to participate in a programme related to the death anniversary of former PM Rajiv Gandhi.
