Naidu, Modi, Bardhan attend Jaya swearing-inFormer AP chief minister and TDP supremo Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu, Gujarat  Chief Minister Narendra Modi and CPI general secretary A B Bardhan were  the only three special guests that  witnessed the swearing ceremony of the Chief Minister  J. Jayalalitha in Chennai today.

After Governor Surjit Singh Barnala administered the oath of office and secrecy to Jayalalitha as the chief minister, Naidu, Modi and Bardhan were the fist to congratulate her.

After the results of the elections were out, Jaya personally telephoned the three leaders and invited them for the swearing in ceremony. Naidu has highly cordial relations with Jaya and he also campaigned on behalf of the AIADMK in the elections in the Telugu dominated areas of the state.

Earlier, Modi told reporters in Chennai that the AIADMK’s victory is bound to influence national politics in the fight against corruption. Saying that the AIADMK’s victory is not limited to Tamil Nadu alone, he asserted that Jayalalitha is a dedicated leader and hoped she will contribute to the formidable growth of the state in all spheres.
